Geothermal Heat Pump
A geothermal heat pump uses the heat stored in the ground to heat buildings. A geothermal probe, a long vertical pipe, is inserted into the ground. Through this probe, a liquid circulates that absorbs heat from the ground. This heat is then used in the heat pump to warm the heating water. Geothermal heat pumps are highly efficient and environmentally friendly because they use the constant temperatures in the ground, reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions.
